If you have experience helping healthcare organizations and communities successfully adopt and implement technology, you might be the Healthcare Community Manager we are looking for. Your background in the clinical space as a key advocate and evangelist will be critical to helping DrFirst, and our clients (community healthcare organizations) to build an integrated community network to facilitate collaboration. Having a deep understanding of the underlying clinical use cases that our products support will help you to better understand and articulate how DrFirst products will help members of a regional medical community improve team-based care, secure care collaboration, population health, and ultimately how the connected care community brings value to patients and improves outcomes. The broader your exposure to the various entities in a medical community, such as hospitals, integrated delivery networks, practices, clinics, LTC/PAC organizations, and pharmacies the better equipped you will be to help us maximize community-wide utilization of the DrFirst tools.

In this role, you will make an impact helping care teams communicate securely and more rapidly with each other, and with their patients regarding care-in-progress, admissions and discharges, or planned health events through real time patient data exchange of clinical documentation while adhering to all HIPAA security standards.


Key activities will include:

  • Outreach to and engage with relevant community health organizations (by phone/email/text/in-person contact) to inform and incent new community network participants
  • Respond to in-bound inquiries from community health organizations seeking program and/or product information and participation guidance
  • Facilitate/Complete required documentation and/or agreements needed for health organization participation
  • Coordinate or lead communications and activities supporting user adoption/onboarding with Project Managers, Customer Service and hospital/IDN clients
  • Organize/facilitate/support product training activities for community network users
  • Provide inputs and information learned from community participants to DrFirst project manager, customer service and communications teams to support continuous program improvement


Other key skills desired in a successful candidate:

  • Though this is not a quota-carrying role, sales skills will be very helpful in assisting the candidate in making efficient and successful outreach to community participants, articulating the value-proposition of participation and the client goals in establishing the community network, coordinating meetings, presentations and trainings, and in completing required paperwork needed to solidify an organization’s participation.
  • Ability to identify/incent “champions,” within partner organizations whereby the Healthcare Community Manager can be successful in engaging participant organizations through key members of that organization who are fully informed and excited about the opportunity and willing to take ownership on behalf of their organization to assist in the organizations awareness and participation in the program and use of the provided tools.
  • Flexibility of location/ability to travel: The Healthcare Community Manager may be deployed to certain client site areas for extended periods (2 to 3 months) in order to conduct outreach throughout the community and work closely with the client and project manager.  Location in-community or willingness to work 4 to 5 days per week within a particular community we believe will be required for success.  The first client communities established will be in New York State.
