The Manager of Advanced Healthcare Analytics plays a leadership role in Data and Analytics Strategy group. He/she works with stakeholders and manages the activities of analytics team to address business challenges and identify actionable opportunities through advanced analytics, and design innovative and intelligent data-driven solutions to enhance and drive company products, offerings, and services.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage day-to-day operations of the team.
  • Define roles and responsibilities within the team, and ensure clear accountability.
  • Create a work environment in which teammates find their work professionally rewarding.
  • Work with stakeholders to address business challenges, assess business needs, and identify actionable opportunities
  • Translate business problems into technical approaches that yield actionable recommendations to enhance and drive products/solutions
  • Manage team in utilizing a diverse array of technologies and tools as needed, to deliver insights and solutions
  • Work with IT for the implementation of data-driven solutions
  • Retrieve, prepare, and analyze a variety of data sources such as pharmacy claims, ePrescribing, and digital user experience data
  • Analyze and model structured and unstructured data and implement algorithms to support analysis using advanced statistical and mathematical methods from statistics, machine learning, data mining, and operations research

Qualifications

  • Passionate about data and analytics
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in healthcare analytics
  • A minimum of three years of successful team management experience
  • Strong knowledge in at least one of the following fields: statistics, data mining, machine learning, artificial intelligence, operations research, natural language processing
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or health related / quantitative fields, Master / PhD is preferred
  • Deep experience in extracting, cleaning, preparing, and modeling data
  • Experience with predictive modeling and analytics
  • Experience working with prescription and pharmacy claims data
  • Experience with medication adherence analysis, care gap analysis, medication conflict analysis preferred
  • Proficiency in analysis packages and programming languages (e.g. R, Python, SAS)
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau
  • Ability to translate engagement objectives to a project plan with milestones, and resource/technology requirements, and manage team and projects to successful execution
  • Ability to work across multiple engagements with stakeholders to assess needs, provide assistance, and resolve problems, using creative problem-solving skills and verbal/written communication for non-technical audiences
