The Clinical Analyst will deep dive into a robust warehouse of clinical data and use that data to drive descriptive and predictive analytics into new and existing product lines. This individual will work with stakeholders to address business challenges and identify actionable opportunities through clinical analytics, and design innovative and intelligent data-driven solutions to enhance the company’s solution portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to address business challenges, assess business needs, and identify actionable clinical opportunities
  • Translate business problems into technical approaches that yield actionable clinical recommendations to enhance and drive products/solutions
  • Design and develop clinical metrics to enhance products and solutions
  • Work with IT for the implementation of data-driven clinical solutions
  • Retrieve, prepare, and analyze a variety of data sources such as pharmacy claims, ePrescribing, and digital user experience data
  • Analyze and model structured and unstructured data and implement algorithms to support analysis using advanced statistical and mathematical methods

Qualifications

  • Passionate about data and analytics
  • A minimum of three years of relevant hands-on experience in healthcare analytics (five years for senior position)
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in quantitative and or health related fields, Master / PhD is preferred
  • Deep experience in extracting, cleaning, preparing, and modeling data
  • Experience with predictive modeling and analytics
  • Experience working with prescription and pharmacy claims data
  • Experience working with EMR data preferred
  • Experience with medication adherence analysis, care gap analysis, medication conflict analysis preferred
  • Proficiency in analysis packages and programming languages (e.g. R, Python, SAS)
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau is a plus
  • Ability to translate engagement objectives to a project plan with milestones, and resource/technology requirements, and manage projects to successful execution
  • Ability to work across multiple engagements with stakeholders to assess needs, provide assistance, and resolve problems, using creative problem-solving skills and verbal/written communication for non-technical audiences
