Through hands-on involvement, Integration Engineers are responsible for bringing multiple concurrent partner integrations through successful certification and beta client launch. Integration Engineers are responsible for ongoing consulting of new integration features and new product delivery. Integration Engineers regularly exercise independent judgment, as well as a high level of analytical skill, in solving complex and unusual technical, administrative and managerial problems. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner and Enterprise integrations – Works directly with Partners and Enterprise clients via email and phone to provide leadership, consultation and ongoing support of integration projects.
  • Project management – Responsible to manage project schedules for technical integrations with Partners and Enterprise clients. Keeps Account Manager well informed about status of Development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and account manager.
  • Technical issue resolution – Assist in resolving technical issues submitted by Partners and Enterprise clients.  This includes working closely with Tier-2 support and managing escalations to development.
  • Sales Support – Responsible to assist with technical consultations to prospects with the Partner sales team. 
  • Internal projects – Responsible to manage internal technical projects for Integration Services.  This requires working with managers from other divisions within DrFirst.
  • Operational support – Provide general technical operational support for Integration Services as needed.


Education and Skill Set:

  • Graduate degree or Undergraduate degree in engineering, computer science, information management or equivalent experience in implementing IT solutions
  • Experience as a System Engineer
  • 2+ years in Project Management, familiar with Project Management tools- MS Project, Smart sheet, etc.
  • Experience with various IT project lifecycle process; experience with Agile methodology preferred
  • Proven experience in programming (Web-based programming pereferred), XML, JSON, and other API based integrations
  • Knowledge of SDK’s along with SaaS and client-server architectures
  • Excellent analytical abilities and strong communication skills
  • Working knowledge of networking, server client architecture, familiarity with various protocols, i.e.; http, https, TCP/UDP,SSH, SSL certs, HL7
  • Demonstrated work experience and success communicating with external customers;  experience supporting sales activities as a technical resource is desirable   
  • Demonstrated work experience in hands-on technical project delivery with internal and/or external customers covering full project timeline (project initiation to project delivery)
  • Demonstrated work experience in documenting processes and technical implementation guides
  • Previous experience in the healthcare IT industry is a plus
  • Familiarity with Confluence, Jira is plus
  • IT certification like MCSE, MCSA, MCSD are plus
