About the role

The Sales Development Representative performs a variety of sales, marketing, administrative, research and reporting activities to drive lead generation. Effective lead generation is a key part of the Regional Sales Team reaching 100% of the quota. As a dynamic resource within the Regional Sales Team, the Sales Development Representative uses critical thinking, intense attention to detail, and advanced time management to provide additional bandwidth for the Regional Sales Team.  The collaboration results in the execution of best practice sales strategies for mid-large size doctor groups (16+ doctors), IPA, hospital, health systems, and health community markets.

  • Understand all of DrFirst’s products and how each of the products works in a solid and transferable manner
  • Assist in opportunity identification by developing knowledge of the assigned industry and corresponding executive priorities
  • Research national and region-specific information regarding the adoption of e-prescribing
  • Process and regulate sales data in a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database
  • Prepare account specific proposals for the Regional Sales Team
  • Prepare and/or modify account specific contracts for the Regional Sales Team
  • Execute the handoff process between Sales and Deployment Team for contracts received, including weekly reporting of deployment status to the Regional Sales Team
  • Conduct product training demos via WebEx for prospective customers
  • Other duties as assigned


Must haves

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to write, speak, and interact clearly and professionally
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills

Physical requirements

  • 80% desk/phone work
  • 20% moving around the office
