Overview

The product specialist for the Patient Innovation platform of products will work with the product manager to manage the life cycles of products under the PI organization in an end-to-end fashion. This means becoming a subject matter expert in the products. You will assist with a variety of tasks such as research and analysis, working with development to understand enhancement requests, carrying out tasks that pertain to a successful product rollout, and working with support on problem resolution. You will be required to learn and understand technical and business aspects of our product solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the product roadmap by writing user stories (business requirements of the solution) with guidance from the Product Manager, working with our business technical analysts.
  • Maintain and help organize product and project Confluence (team collaboration software) pages artifacts.     
  • Manage projects and coordinate operations across internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in product development scrums to help bring business requirements and the customer’s voice to the development teams.
  • Communication, collaboration, and leadership of cross-functional teams to successfully develop and release products, support marketing and sales efforts, and streamline and enhance internal processes.
  • Assist the Product Manager with market analysis: perform competitor evaluation, identify market trends, and evaluate customer feedback.
  • Assist with roll-out and Support tasks.
  • Take initiative to proactively identify opportunity and problem areas, and has the ability to engage others in a planned course of action to address these areas.
  • Collaborate to bring a team-based approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • Combination of business and technical acumen, with a understanding of technology
  • 3+ years in product management, technical project management, technical product marketing or product development.
  • Be comfortable interacting with external customers, both in writing and verbally.  
  • Able to effectively juggle multiple priorities and manage time efficiently, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and drive cross-functional groups across an organization.
  • Multidisciplinary skillset, with broad understanding of the following areas, and intermediate-level expertise in at least one: hospital/clinical informatics, software engineering, marketing, UI/UX, business.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a structured approach to problem analysis and solution development.
  • Solid understanding of the software development process and knowledge of a programming language or SQL desired
  • Bachelor's degree required. Technical or engineering geared degrees are preferred.

  • 25% Standing/moving throughout the office
