Summary of the position:

You will assist the Senior Director of FP&A in partnering with the business to understand trends, separate relevant from non-relevant information and articulate the financial impact(s) to DrFirst. If you are a proven self-starter with innovative ideas who can problem solve on the fly, enjoys analyzing and evaluating operational metrics, and thrives on working cross-functionally in a rapidly changing environment, then keep reading!

You will be responsible for robust modeling, analytics and techniques that will allow us to describe realities, build scenarios, and predict performance. As a result, we will make better data-driven business and financial decisions. You will be the main point of contact in handling the business unit’s financial matters. This position will be responsible for deliverables that properly address departmental finances, which must be done to the complete satisfaction of the Department Head, Sr. Director, CFO and other Senior Management. You will be considered a financial/technology/healthcare professional that will help DrFirst better understand strategic investment for new platforms, new products, and operational support to the various business systems.

You will also be aligned with operations and fully engaged in providing insight into costs and functional value. As a result, the business can make operations more efficient and develop optimal organizational decisions. You will also work closely with the department teams to develop financial budgets, projections and forecasts based on commercial growth, historical data and market analysis. In addition, the role will provide critical analyses of and insights into operational expense, headcount management and actual results versus plan. The successful candidate will be detail-orientated with strong organizational and communication skills.

What you will work on

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop financial models in support of strategic initiatives and business objectives
  • Manage relevant financial and accounting matters from start to finish
  • Help supervise, train and mentor Financial Analyst
  • Create and maintain statistics on business operations and trends, proactively identifying and analyzing issues and opportunities, making data-based recommendations
  • Develop an understanding of expected revenue growth to ensure appropriate drivers are incorporated into the expense forecasting process
  • Prepare and present monthly P&L reports, presentations, and variance analysis
  • Drive process enhancements and improvements in financial planning
  • Assist in developing and managing departmental annual budgets/quarterly forecasts
  • Provide pricing guidance, modeling, and strategic analysis
  • Perform market research, customer and competitor analysis
  • Contribute to a positive work environment that is built on hard work, collaboration, respect for each other and a desire to learn
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as necessary


What you should have done/What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting required, MBA preferred
  • 4-7 years progressive work experience in the area of financial analysis
  • Familiar with Relational Database concepts and SQL experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to own and streamline processes, exceptional attention to detail
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of initiative and critical thinking
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookup and logical functions) and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP desired
  • Positive outlook and commitment to team success
