Position Overview

The Product Manager for electronic prior authorization will manage the current implementation and define the future direction of the product. This position will primarily be responsible for taking products to market, in addition to every component of the product management life cycle.  This individual will be deeply involved in both the technical and business aspects of the solution including strategic product planning, internal and external product expertise and evangelism, business analysis, product line management, cross-functional leadership and collaboration across the organization.

What you will work on

  • Analysis and understanding of market needs and trends and the incorporation of market requirements into product requirements.
  • Leadership of the product life cycle, from conception and strategic planning through requirements definition, development, launch, and post-launch customer satisfaction
  • Draft and/or review product guides, and marketing materials.
  • Subject matter expertise of NCPDP standards and protocols.
  • Supporting sales and corporate partners with product related activities and customer meetings as needed. This includes development of printed and electronic promotional material, in collaboration with product training and marketing teams.
  • Must possess an understanding of SDLC and managing a project in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tracking, analyzing, and management of financial KPI’s and related product metrics
  • Competitive research of industry trends and technologies, analysis, and product-differentiation strategies.
  • Research specific client needs and desired product capabilities with a laser focus on customer satisfaction to maximize the end-to-end experience across all aspects of solution development.
  • Analysis of use cases to determine the drivers for product design are valid and accurate.
  • Communication, collaboration, and leadership of cross-functional teams to successfully develop and release products, support marketing and sales efforts, and streamline and enhance internal processes.
  • Creation, analysis, and proposal of new product ideas and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software product management experience, specifically focused on healthcare solutions, or pharmacy benefit manager
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, healthcare, or related field preferred
  • Combination of business and technical acumen, with a understanding of technology
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, business analysis, and decision making capabilities
  • Demonstrated passion for, and experience with the end to end user experience, and optimizing it
  • Process oriented understanding of product management needs, and proactive in the anticipation and addressing of those needs in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and drive cross-functional groups across an organization
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Deep sense of product ownership across all aspects of the solution
