    Position Overview

    In this position you will play a critical role partnering with the SVP of Corporate Development and Communications to develop persuasive content and execute our PR and media relations strategies. If you love telling a story (especially about healthcare and technology), have always seen yourself as a writer, frequently work directly with executives, and have deep experience managing a PR agency, then we have the perfect opportunity for you.

    What you will work on

    • Lead and manage proactive media relations in collaboration with the PR agency
    • Plan and execute a 12-month PR editorial and influencer calendar
    • Write or coordinate two blog posts on a monthly basis
    • Research, write, and review news releases, media alerts, case studies, infographics, fact sheets, white papers, etc. and disseminate them through appropriate channels
    • Manage all aspects of PR campaigns and PR agency SOW
    • Pitch story ideas and serve as the primary representative for the SVP as the liaison to the PR agency and media contacts
    • Identify, organize, and manage speaking, awards, and media opportunities
    • Prepare SMEs in advance for interviews and ensure positive interaction with media
    • Develop and execute a thoughtful Social Media Content Management strategy
    • Collaborate with marketing team to monitor social media activity, ensure we offer an appropriate response; make recommendations on how to effectively engage influencers through replies, retweets, likes and favorites
    • Measure KPIs and effectiveness of PR campaigns, set goals and track results to share with leadership team on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
    • Manage communication with internal stakeholders, including C-level executives on brand messaging and work across the organization to advance storytelling and brand awareness efforts

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing or any related field
    • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in public relations
    • Have worked in healthcare or technology space, with a focus on B2B or B2C products for at least three (3) years
    • Have been primary liason managing a PR agency closely aligned with the organizational goals
    • Ability to write explain dry technical subjects in a compelling benefits and audience oriented manner. Not feature/function focused
    • Excellent journalistic storytelling writing skills
    • Ability to work without close supervision
    • Ability to work in a fast paced start-up style environment and influence senior leaders
    • Able to navigate ambiguity and have a strong vision for goals, driving for excellent results
    • Understand how to leverage social media channels to promote the company and employer brand
    • Experience working with industry analysts such as Forrester, Gartner, KLAS, IDC, Blackbook, Chilmark, etc.

    Physical Requirements

    • 60% working at desk and phone
    • 20% standing and moving throughout the office
    • 20% travel for events
