    Position Overview

    You will be part of a team building and operating highly scalable software using cutting edge technologies for a variety of devices. You will get to solve the most complex problems that arise in the areas of distributed computing and high volume transaction processing.     What you will work on

    • Build. We apply whatever technique is appropriate and practical for solving the problem at hand. Knowing the fundamentals of various machine learning approaches is essential.
    • Deploy. Our data scientists are involved in all aspects of the model building process, from conception to deployment. We think it’s important to be close to implementation and have a line of sight into how our models integrate with our products.
    • Learn. Our team is full of life-long learners. We are looking for people who have a growth mindset, stay up on their craft, and always have an eye out for what’s next. Keeping up with trends and best practices in the machine learning, data science and health data communities is a way of life here.

    • Passionate about data and analytics
    • Masters/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Physical Sciences, Operations Research or another similar quantitative field
    • Proficiency in Python, knowledge of other languages such as Java and C++ a plus
    • Basic understanding of databases and data engineering
    • Basic understanding of software engineering and familiarity with SDLC, Agile, XP, Git and issue tracking
    • Basic understanding of statistics
    • Experience in healthcare industry and familiarity with medical terminology highly preferred

    Physical Requirements

    • 70% Desk/phone work
    • 30% Standing/moving throughout the office
