Position Overview

What you will work on

Healthcare Technology Strategy and Vision:

  • Work with CTIO and Business SME to articulate and execute comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company's mission to advance healthcare through innovation.
  • Stay abreast of healthcare industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies; serving as internal champion to appropriate adoption.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • As a trusted partner to our CTIO, you will manage numerous application teams ensuring they are structured, architected, resourced and executing to produce repeatable success.
  • Provide inspirational leadership to the technology team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and excellence.
  • Attract, mentor, and retain top-tier talent, cultivating a high-performing and motivated team.

Execution and Process Management:

  • Ensuring our portfolio of products conform to regulatory standards, development and delivery are predictable and always improving.

Financial Management:

  • Manage an eight figure technology budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement strategies to maximize the return on technology investments.

Governance and Risk Management:

  • Oversight of governance across the company that helps each business meet its objectives while ensuring each product is continuing to be compliant with DrFirst security and architecture standards
  • Implement and enforce best practices for data security, privacy, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with healthcare technology initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Successful commercial IT portfolio development
  • Strong management skills (Technology and People)
  • Proven success in executing on overall technology agendas
  • Track record that includes leading organizational transformations
  • Proven analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven success in fostering innovation and cross functional collaboration
  • Ability to handle complex projects with multiple workstreams, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of functional business initiatives.
  • Proven ability to scale technology and organizational structures for rapid growth
  • Must have excellent leadership and communication skills (oral and written) and possess the ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Strong leadership skills with a team-oriented and collaborative approach to work.
  • Strong Healthcare Technology experience
  • Experience with regulatory environment in health care technology industry
  • Promotion of process improvement

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements

  • 10+ years in technology leadership; experience leading multi-disciplined teams within an Enterprise Technology company is required; SaaS experience is a plus
  • Proven track record of road mapping and executing on an enterprise-wide technology portfolio strategy that creates value for the business via improved productivity and decreased spend
  • Expertise with Information Security and Privacy practices; experienced with IT security, governance, risk and compliance of applications and product network
  • Ability to set a vision and inspire and motivate teams; can drive organizational change within and beyond functions
  • Experienced delivering swiftly against deadlines across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stays up to date on knowledge and understanding of innovative technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology to business leaders, Board members, and others not immersed within the technology world.

Physical Requirements

- 85% desk and phone work
- 15% travel across office locations, customer visits, external visits as needed

  • Competitive compensation, with a base salary of $250,000 - $325,000 (Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience)
