Position Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team and deliver enhancements to a web-based public-facing portal for a prior authorization platform.

What you will work on

  • Designing and Coding: Develop responsive web pages using Angular, TypeScript, and HTML/CSS to meet functional and performance specifications.
  • Collaborating: Work closely with product designers, product managers, and other engineers to align with the product’s strategic direction.
  • Designing: Implement technical elements of product design to enhance the user experience.
  • Analyzing: Identify and resolve application and performance issues, and implement updates as needed.
  • Demonstrating: Exhibit critical thinking and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Building Relationships: Foster connections with other engineering teams and maintain a strong understanding of the organization’s structure and resources.
  • Proactively Addressing Challenges: Overcome limitations, resource constraints, and other barriers to achieve goals.
  • Delivering: Complete tasks on time with minimal defects.

Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 5 years in professional software development experience with focus on developing responsive web pages using Angular and TypeScript.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.
  • Tools: Experience with Git or major source code management systems.
  • Proficiency: Advanced ES6 and modern JavaScript skills.
  • Collaboration: Worked with remote teams across different time zones.
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional time management, project management, and prioritization abilities.
  • Self-Motivation: Technically curious with a commitment to staying updated on relevant technical developments.
  • Independence: Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities effectively.

Preferred Experience

  • Angular Expertise: Strong knowledge of Angular, including core concepts like modules, directives, services, dependency injection, and reactive forms.
  • Testing: Experience with Angular unit testing (ideally Karma with Jasmine).
  • RxJS: Deep understanding of reactive programming concepts and RxJS.
  • TypeScript Proficiency: Advanced usage of types, decorators, and generics.
  • Node.js: Proficiency in Node.js with experience using Express.js.

Physical Requirements

  • 90% working at desk/ phone
  • 10% travel to DrFirst and customer locations per business requirements

  • Competitive compensation, with a base salary of $95,000 - $120,000 (Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience)
