Position Overview

The Senior Statistical Analyst will lead the design and execution of experiments that measure the real-world impact of DrFirst's solutions on patient medication adherence and abandonment rates. This role sits at the intersection of advanced statistical methodology, healthcare analytics, and business strategy. You will transform complex healthcare data into actionable insights that demonstrate value to clients and drive product improvements. This position requires both technical excellence in statistical analysis and the ability to communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences, from data scientists to C-suite executives.

What you will work on

  • Design rigorous experiments and statistical tests to accurately measure the impact of DrFirst solutions on patient medication adherence and abandonment behaviors
  • Develop innovative methodologies for causal inference and impact measurement in healthcare settings with complex confounding variables
  • Lead statistical analysis projects from hypothesis development through final recommendations, ensuring methodological rigor at every stage
  • Present findings to clients and stakeholders, translating complex statistical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences
  • Communicate results effectively to internal teams and external partners, including senior leadership and healthcare decision-makers
  • Build and maintain statistical models that quantify solution effectiveness and support data-driven product development
  • Create compelling data visualizations that make complex analytical findings accessible and persuasive
  • Support the analytics team with ad-hoc reports and analyses that address emerging business questions
  • Drive continuous improvement in analytical methodologies and team processes
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects effectively, balancing competing priorities and timelines while maintaining quality standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and commercial operations to ensure analyses support business objectives
  • Take ownership of deliverable quality and ensure all statistical work meets the highest standards of accuracy and reproducibility

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field
  • 8+ years of experience in applied statistics and experimental design
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with Python or R programming languages for statistical analysis
  • 5+ years of healthcare analytics experience, preferably with focus on patient medication adherence and abandonment measurement
  • Proficiency with SQL and database querying, preferably AWS Redshift
  • Experience with AWS QuickSight or comparable data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to present data insights to diverse business stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Proven track record presenting technical findings to external clients or partners
  • Strong understanding of statistical inference, experimental design, and causal analysis methodologies

Preferred:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or related field
  • Experience with healthcare claims data, pharmacy data, or electronic health records
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory environment and value-based care models
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their appropriate application
  • Experience with AWS data ecosystem (S3, Redshift, Athena, Glue)
  • Publications or presentations at healthcare analytics or statistics conferences
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical industry dynamics and patient access challenges

Physical Requirements

  • 90% Desk work
  • 10% Remote travel to client sites, conferences, or internal team meetings

  • Competitive compensation, with a base salary of $140,000 - $170,000 (Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience)
