About DrFirst

For 25 years, DrFirst has empowered providers and patients to achieve better health through intelligent medication management. We improve healthcare workflows and help patients start and stay on therapy with end-to-end solutions that enhance prescription access, affordability, and adherence. Our solutions help 100 million patients a year and are used by more than 420,000 prescribers, 71,000 pharmacies, 270 EHRs and health information systems, and over 2,000 hospitals in the U.S. This is a great opportunity to be part of a successful Healthcare IT company experiencing significant growth. Here you will work with some of the smartest and most interesting people around, solving unique and complex challenges in healthcare on a scale matched by few companies. If you get excited about stretching yourself in new ways, developing yourself to your fullest potential, and care about working with smart colleagues, we want to talk to you!

Position Overview

The Talent Acquisition Intern supports full-cycle recruitment efforts across DrFirst with a strong focus on candidate sourcing, resume review, and talent pipeline development. This role offers hands-on experience in the recruiting lifecycle at a mission-driven healthcare technology company and contributes directly to shaping how DrFirst attracts talent in an AI-first era.

DrFirst uses Claude as our enterprise AI platform. You will work with Claude every day to source candidates, draft outreach, summarize resumes, and build automation workflows. Prior Claude experience is a strong plus, and comfort with any major generative AI tool is required.

You will partner closely with an experienced recruiter to source passive candidates, evaluate incoming applications, coordinate interviews, and build automation workflows that make the talent acquisition function faster and smarter. This is a highly visible role where your work will touch hiring across engineering, product, operations, sales, and clinical functions.

Program Details

  • Duration: 10 weeks, full-time
  • Start Date: Monday, June 1, 2026
  • End Date: Friday, August 7, 2026
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week
  • Location: 100% Remote within the United States
  • Reports To: Principal Recruiter, Talent Acquisition

Who Will Love This Role

  • The AI-Curious Recruiter in the Making: You already use Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini for school projects and wonder how AI will reshape hiring. You want a seat at the table as that future gets built.
  • The Builder: You get energy from spotting a clunky process and fixing it. A messy spreadsheet is an invitation, not a chore.
  • The People Person with a Systems Brain: You care about how people experience a job search and you also care about how the data flows behind the scenes. Both matter to you.
  • The Healthcare Mission-Driven Student: You want your summer work to mean something beyond the bullet point on your resume. Helping 100 million patients get their medications feels like a worthy use of ten weeks.
  • The Self-Starter: You do not wait for someone to tell you what to do next. You find the work, ask smart questions, and move.

What You Will Gain

  • End-to-end exposure to recruitment processes in a high-growth Health IT environment
  • Direct mentorship from a Principal Recruiter and access to senior talent acquisition leaders
  • Real ownership of AI and automation projects with measurable impact on hiring outcomes
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise tools including Claude, LinkedIn Recruiter, and applicant tracking systems
  • A portfolio of completed projects including sourcing strategies, outreach templates, and process improvements you built yourself

What you will work on

AI-Powered Sourcing and Outreac

  • Use LinkedIn Recruiter, Handshake, GitHub, and other platforms to identify qualified passive candidates for open roles across engineering, operations, product, and clinical teams
  • Apply Claude (DrFirst's enterprise AI platform) to draft Boolean search strings, personalize outreach messages at scale, and summarize candidate profiles
  • Draft compelling, personalized outreach messages that reflect DrFirst's brand and mission
  • Track sourcing metrics including response rates, open rates, and pipeline conversion, then recommend improvements based on the data
  • Maintain organized candidate pipelines in the applicant tracking system

Resume Screening and Candidate Evaluation

  • Review incoming applications for open positions across all departments
  • Evaluate candidates against job requirements and prepare concise candidate summaries for hiring managers
  • Identify red flags, standout qualities, and resume patterns worth flagging for deeper review
  • Experiment with AI-assisted screening approaches to accelerate high-quality shortlisting while maintaining fairness and accuracy

Interview Coordination and Candidate Experience

  • Schedule phone screens, virtual interviews, and follow-ups across multiple hiring manager calendars
  • Ensure candidates receive timely, clear communication at every stage of the process
  • Support interview logistics including sending prep materials and collecting post-interview feedback
